Press Release Body = REDMOND, WA-MARCH 22, 2007- Galit Oren shares her love of
poetry in her new eBook Letter to Lucky and Other Poems. Her poetry has evoked a
strong response at poetry readings hosted by the Redmond Association of SPokenword
(RASP), of which Galit is a member.

A sampling of her poetry, shown below, is an excerpt from "The Day My Classmate Died":

My teacher cried and explained that's how she saw her
When she died.
And this is the secret
That gave me a friend for life.

Galit Oren's heartfelt essay "Living with Scoliosis" appeared in Chicken Soup for
the Teenage Soul: Challenges, published in June 2006, and Letter to Lucky and Other
Poems, Galit's latest project, which she wrote during the past eleven years as she
progressed from Middle School/High School at the International School of Bellevue
through her current year at Western Washington University.

ABOUT AUTHOR
Galit Oren, a junior at Western Washington University, is majoring in English with a
Creative Writing emphasis. She is an avid reader and active member of the Redmond
Association of SPokenword (RASP). Galit hopes to use her education to share her love
of the literary arts and aid in the fight to overcome illiteracy. Galit is a
resident of Redmond, WA.
